Serving as Chief Operating Officer for the D’Orazio Group of Companies, James A. D’Orazio, the eldest son of founder, Albert, manages
all financial interests of the group including general corporate finances, project financing, asset and material procurement
and contract negotiation.
He is the company liaison to D’Orazio’s financial and insurance institutions and is often called upon to liaise with both private and municipal clients consulting with them on matters of project execution and cost control.
Jim has participated and continues to participate in the following industry and community oganizations:
Greater Toronto Sewer and Watermain Contractors Association Director 1996-present. Jim was the Association’s youngest president in 1998 holding that position until 2001.
Rotary Club of Oakville West (RCOW) member 1996-2001 and Director of Community Services 1998-2001. Jim received a Paul Harris Fellowship from Rotary International, thorough RCOW, in 2004.
Project Steering Committee Member for the National Guide to Sustainable Municipal Infrastructure: Innovations and Best Practices 2001-2006.
Oakville YMCA Director 2001-present.
Oakville Hospital Foundation – Volunteer Advisory Committee member for the New Oakville Hospital $60 million Community Campaign 2008-present.
Jim has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Masters in Business Administration both from the University of Western Ontario.
Jim presently resides in Oakville, with his wife and two daughters. When spare time prevails, he enjoys golf, hockey, cycling, skiing and the great outdoors.
